旦夕书店为大家带来，徐克导演，张国荣，袁咏仪，赵文卓领衔表演的贺岁喜剧片《金玉满堂》（又名《满汉全席》）！就在2月21日多伦多 Innis Town Hall！

赵港生（张国荣饰）因厌烦黑社会生活，欲金盆洗手后去加拿大追寻偶像山口百惠，而他选择的移民途径竟是——参加加拿大酒店的厨师考试，丝毫不懂厨艺的他最终因作弊暴露而惨败。 　　某日，赵港生在酒楼遇见了厨艺大师龙昆宝（赵文卓饰），龙昆宝指点他去找自己的旧识满汉楼的欧老板（罗家英饰）学习，不想欧老板竟对他百般刁难，最终将其扫地出门。其间，港生和欧老板的女儿嘉惠（袁咏仪饰）倒是在不经意间擦出了花火。 　　

欧老板师承中国著名大宴满汉全席之赵派，某日，牛派的继承人黄荣找上门来挑战，后来又使诡计挖走了他手下的所有师傅。这时，唯有港生挺身而出，和嘉惠一起寻找会做满汉全席的高人，那就是五年前莫名隐退厨艺界的廖杰（钟镇涛饰）...

《金玉满堂》被视为香港以厨艺比赛为蓝本的美食电影的开山之作。导演徐克首次将他在武侠片中运用的技巧巧妙融入贺岁片与美食电影的结合之中，从而开启了这一类型的先河。此后包括《食神》在内的许多影片都从中汲取灵感，可见其开创性。在这部1995年的电影中，你还能看到年轻的张国荣、袁咏仪、赵文卓等人都在状态巅峰。（赵文卓的塑料广东话是在太可爱了！）而当年的香港贺岁片有一种憨憨的、简单的快乐，这种简单的快乐也许正是我们现在不常见而更显珍贵的体验。

Zhao Gangsheng (played by Leslie Cheung), tired of life in the underworld, decides to leave it all behind and immigrate to Canada in pursuit of his idol, Momoe Yamaguchi. Unexpectedly, the path he chooses is to take a chef certification exam at a Canadian hotel. With no cooking skills whatsoever, Zhao’s attempt ends in failure when his cheating is exposed. One day, Zhao meets master chef Long Kunbao (played by Chiu Man-Cheuk) at a restaurant. Long advises him to seek out an old acquaintance—Mr. Au (played by Law Kar-Ying), owner of the Man-Han Restaurant—to learn the art of cooking. However, Mr. Au subjects Zhao to constant humiliation and eventually drives him out. During this time, Zhao and Mr. Au’s daughter, Jiahui (played by Anita Yuen), gradually develop feelings for each other.

Mr. Au is a disciple of the Zhao School, inheritors of the legendary Man-Han Imperial Feast. One day, Wong Wing, heir to the rival Niu School, arrives to challenge him and later uses underhanded tactics to lure away all of Mr. Au’s chefs. Left with no other choice, Zhao steps forward and, together with Jiahui, searches for someone capable of preparing the Man-Han Feast—Liao Kit (played by Kenny Bee), a once-renowned chef who mysteriously withdrew from the culinary world five years earlier.
