时隔六年，旦夕书店为大家带来，香港电影金像奖最佳两岸华语片《大佛普拉斯》北美的首次大荧幕重映！就在12月的多伦多！

《大佛普拉斯》（英语：The Great Buddha+）是一部2017年的台湾电影，由锺孟宏、叶如芬监制，黄信尧自编自导，并由庄益增、陈竹升、戴立忍、陈以文、纳豆、张少怀、丁国琳与雷婕熙主演。

本片是由2014年黄信尧入围金马奖最佳短片的作品《大佛》发展而来，片名中的“普拉斯”为英文“加号”（plus）的音译，代表升级版或者进阶版的意思。2017年10月13日播映。

本片获选为2017年台北电影节开幕片，也荣获电影节的百万首奖及剧情长片奖。本片于2017年荣获加拿大多伦多国际影展“亚洲影评人联盟奖”（NETPAC AWARD），也获邀参加温哥华影展，韩国釜山影展及日本东京影展，2018年3月入选纽约新导演新电影影展，同样也在2018年3月印度新德里举行的第2届Habitat国际电影节，观众的回响也很热烈，在各地的影展期间佳评如潮，掌声不断。2018年4月在香港，又夺得37届香港电影金像奖最佳两岸华语片。

After six years, AMOMENTBOOKS proudly presents the North American big-screen re-release of the Hong Kong Film Award-winning Best Cross-Strait Chinese Film, The Great Buddha+! Coming this December to Toronto!

The Great Buddha+ is a 2017 Taiwanese film directed and written by Huang Hsin-yao, produced by Chung Mong-hong and Yeh Ju-fen, and starring Cres Chuang, Bamboo Chen, Leon Dai, Chen Yi-wen, Na Dow, Chang Shao-huai, Crystal Ding, and Ray Yang.

The film is an extended version of Huang Hsin-yao’s 2014 short film The Great Buddha, which was nominated for a Golden Horse Award. The title’s “+” (Plus) is a phonetic adaptation of the English word “plus,” signifying an upgraded or advanced version. The movie was released on October 13, 2017.

The Great Buddha+ was selected as the opening film of the 2017 Taipei Film Festival, where it won the Million Dollar Grand Prize and Best Narrative Feature Award. It also received the NETPAC Award (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, and it was invited to other prominent festivals, including Vancouver, Busan, and Tokyo. In March 2018, it was featured at the New Directors/New Films Festival in New York and received enthusiastic responses at the 2nd Habitat International Film Festival in New Delhi.

The film garnered widespread acclaim during its festival runs, earning standing ovations and glowing reviews. In April 2018, it won Best Cross-Strait Chinese Film at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.
